Description
The long-cherished dream of Vahagn Stamboltsyan, the founder of the Armenian organ school, to establish an international organ music festival in Armenia became a reality in 2022.
The festival project was submitted to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia in 2020, where it received official approval.
Since its inception, the festival has welcomed internationally acclaimed organists from Russia, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and other countries. Their participation has significantly enhanced the festival's international reputation while bringing new artistic energy and perspectives to Armenia's musical life.

This year, the International Vahagn Stamboltsyan Organ Music Festival will welcome world-renowned organists from Switzerland, Norway-Serbia, and Japan.
Among the festival's distinguished guests are the celebrated Swiss organist and composer Guy Bovet, the internationally acclaimed organist Milica Radovanović (Serbia/Norway), and the Japanese organist Hiroko Inoue, a laureate of numerous prestigious international competitions.
Their participation will not only enrich the festival's artistic programme but will also further strengthen its international reputation and expand its network of creative collaboration.
Hiroko Inoue
A laureate of prestigious international competitions, Hiroko Inoue is known for her performances of both classical baroque music and contemporary works.
Drawing from her multicultural experiences, Hiroko infuses her interpretations of the organ with a distinctive flair, treating it akin to an orchestral instrument. Through her artistry, she creates music that not only showcases the instrument's versatility but also brings forth a vibrant musical energy that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Guy Bovet
A prominent Swiss organist, composer Guy Bovet is one of the most respected experts and researchers in the art of organ in the world. Being UNESCO expert in the restoration and cataloguing of ancient instruments he has published around 1,400 articles on the history of the organ. He has recorded over 50 (according to some sources, over 60) albums, paying particular attention to ancient historical organs of Europe, Latin America, and the Philippines. He is the author of over 250 musical works, including music for theater and film.
