On October 14, at Kapan  State College of Art , a concert of organ music took place as  part of the third International Vahagn Stamboltsyan Organ Festival.

At the beginning of the concert, Armen Sukiasyan, Deputy  Artistic  Director of the National Center of Chamber Music and founder and artistic director of the festival, welcomed the audience and emphasized the significance of holding the festival concert in the hall of Kapan State Art College, which is named after Vahagn Stamboltsyan.

 According to him, this was both a responsibility and a pleasure. In his remarks, Sukiasyan also emphasized the importance of holding festival concerts in the regions. Concerts are organized in cities that have organs — organs installed through the very efforts of Vahagn Stamboltsyan, founder of the Armenian organ school.

Performing at the concert were organists from the National Center of Chamber Music — Armen Aghajanyan, Tereza Voskanyan, and Harutyun Taghvoryan — as well as Kapan-based organist Marina Nahapetyan, soprano Hasmik Martirosyan, and cellist Ashot Khachatryan, director of the Kapan State College of Art.

The concert program combined Armenian and European sacred music traditions, presenting works by Komitas, Alexander Harutyunyan, Johann Sebastian Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude, and other composers.

At the close of the concert, Ashot Khachatryan, director of the Kapan State College of Art, thanked the festival organizers for holding festival concerts in Kapan for the third consecutive year and, most importantly, for including local Kapan musicians in the program. According to him, this initiative is not only inspiring but also an important impetus for the preservation and development of organ art in Kapan.
