On November 20, as part of the International Vahagn Stamboltsyan Organ  Festival's third edition, the festival's final guest musician — Adriaan Hoek, city organist of Rotterdam — performed a solo recital.

During the evening, Hoek presented the audience with a multi-genre concert program spanning from Baroque to contemporary minimalism, revealing the boundless expressive possibilities of the organ. Works by Bovet, Sweelinck, Buxtehude, Böhm, Bach, Pärt, and Haydn were performed.

At the close of the concert, in keeping with the festival's tradition, Adriaan Hoek also turned to Armenian music, performing Makar Yekmalyan's "Amen Hayr Surb," and then presented Ludovico Einaudi's "Experience," which was met with a warm reception from the audience.

Adriaan Hoek is a concert organist. He has won eight first prizes at international organ competitions in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, and the United States. He has been the city organist of Rotterdam since 2022.
