The closing gala concert of the International Organ Music Festival will take place

On November 6, the closing gala concert of the Vahagn Stamboltsyan International Organ Festival will take place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. Organists Armen Aghajanyan, Lusine Harutyunyan, Lusin Sarajyan, Anna Bakunts, Konstantin Volostnov (Russia), Harutyun Tagvoryan and the “Tagharan” ensemble of ancient music (artistic director and conductor Sedrak Yerkanyan) will participate in the concert. Six organ concertos by G. F. Handel will be performed. The RA Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reports.

It should be noted that 12 concerts were held within the framework of the festival, including in Yerevan at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall and the hall of the Composers' Union of Armenia, as well as at the Charentsavan Aram Khachaturian Music School and the Kapan State College of Arts. The festival kicked off with a concert dedicated to the 153rd anniversary of Komitas.

The festival featured famous foreign organists Lada Labzina (Russia), Fabio Machera (Italy), Konstantin Volostnov (Russia), Jean-Pierre Stivers (Netherlands) and Yevgeny Avramenko (Russia). It should be noted that the latter two organists also gave concerts in Charentsavan and Kapan.

Both classical works were performed, as well as organ arrangements of Armenian musical gems and works by Armenian authors. There were program concerts, including concerts dedicated to Komitas and Mikael Tariverdiev.
